PANEL SESSION IN GABON Grateful to have moderated this very important conversation on Financing Youth Led Solutions and Initiatives : A Catalyst for the Emergence of A Sustainable Future which took place at the Africa Climate Week 2022. The event provided additional insights on a better approach to solving the challenges young people face when sourcing funding for their clean energy initiatives and projects. Many thanks to the organizers for enabling a very insightful experience which provided new knowledge that directly impacts us as youths. The event left youth participants even more inspired to keep adding their quota towards bridging the energy access gap.

WE WON THE ELECTION It is my warmest pleasure to announce that I won the GFP Election and would be taking on this role alongside my CO-GFP Asma Roubhia from 2022-2024. I look forward to all the fantastic projects we would develop and execute. During my time as GFP, I would work closely with my team to advance youth footprint and engagement in the march towards ensuring clean energy access for ALL!!! The process for voting members desirable candidates for the new mandate period of global focal points has been taken and collected, with transparent, fair, and raised issues addressed election process. The final results of the elections are now tallied and are as follows. DAVID'S MEDIA APPEARANCE ON ALJAZEERA

I was invited to speak on Aljazeera on the recent flood situation in Nigeria which has led to the loss of over 600 lives and displaced millions of citizens. Has Nigeria done enough to prevent deadly flooding? Hundreds of people have died in the worst flooding in a decade in northeastern Nigeria. Northeastern Nigeria is seeing some of its worst flooding in years with about 500 people killed and hundreds of thousands of homes destroyed. The flooding has been made worse by seasonal rain and the planned water release from a dam in neighbouring Cameroon. DAVID ARINZE SPEAKS ON ALJAZEERA

DAVID ARINZE SPEAKS ON UNITED NATIONS WEB TV   Youth activists noted how young people are sources of solutions despite a lack of matching financial support from governments and other actors, and called on governments to provide finance and training. A number of speakers throughout the Forum encouraged youth participants to continue to bring energy to the discussion on solutions.

Glad to share snippets of my journey as a Renewable Energy Expert powering Africa and democratizing access to renewable energy in unserved and underserved climes. These projects which I lead have generated about 2 MegaWatts of off-grid electricity and created over 10,000 connections affecting over 8,000 households, and 2,000 businesses and impacting over 500,000 people.

I had the pleasure of meeting and discussing with the phenomenal disruptor: Bill Gates Founder of Break Through Energy.   David Arinze is an Off-Grid Energy Expert and an Electrical Engineer who is passionate about increasing electricity access to deprived climes through relevant energy sources. His Electricity Supply Industry experience revolves around Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Off-Grid Energy. He has significant experience supporting donor agencies and development organizations such as the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), All On and The Rockefeller Foundation conducting due diligence and screening of off-grid energy applicants before project funding. He provides technical assistance to USADF’s $8 million off-grid energy portfolio comprising several off-grid energy projects which include; Mini-grids for rural electrification, solar-powered cold storage solutions, Solar-powered drying solutions, solar kiosks, solar milling solutions, biogas rural electrification, biomass rural electrification.
